Spring is here! I’m loving the lighter and longer days, although it’s still cold. As soon as the sun began peeking out from behind the clouds, I was ready to get my glow on and switch up my daily products.
Here are my April favourites:
- Benefit Precisely My Brow in Shade 3 – I think this is my favourite brow pencil. The shade is the perfect ashy tone to match my hair and I love the micro nib for creating a natural finish. I’ve been panning the Goof Proof version which I have in a warmer shade, and I find it more difficult to get a natural looking brow with as the pencil is thicker. I will say though, that I run through the Precisely one far too quickly considering the price, so I’m open to dupes!
- Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Face Primer – I dug this out as I know it’s only a matter of time before I finish my favourite discontinued mixer (YSL All in One Glow Foundation) and so I’ve started experimenting with other products to pair with my Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturiser as I love a glowy finish. I used to use Wonderglow years ago underneath the Light Wonder Foundation but as I’m oily/combination I ended up looking too greasy. My skin is (slightly) less oily now and Wonderglow plays really nicely with the Laura Mercier. I’ve really been enjoying it to create a similar look.
- Pixi by Petra MultiBalm in Sheer Sculpt – This is the perfect subtle contour for my everyday makeup. It’s cool toned without being grey and is almost undetectable when blended in, but it still adds dimension to my face. The formula is easy to work with so it’s great if you’re in a hurry. I believe this has been discontinued now but Pixi do offer a similar looking product, which I would be all over if I wasn’t on a no-buy!
- Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Peach Face – I wish they made this permanent! It’s such a lovely summery shade that’s sheer and brightening. And I love the emollient formula which is quick to blend out. It looks gorgeous with…
- Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Cream in Peach Pout – This shade is so fresh and vibrant, yet not so much so that it becomes the focus point of my makeup (I prefer a balanced look). But be aware there are two drawbacks with this product; the packaging is trash and the lid has cracked and broken off, and the formula is nowhere near as moisturising as the Gloss Bomb version. In fact, I find it a little drying. I love this colour too much to not wear it though!
